Wasatch County Fair - 2009

It's Always A Family Affair
Dates: July 11- August 4th. - Heber City, Utah

Wow, this year's fair is bursting at the seams.  You want to see talented people that call Wasatch County home, we got it.  Have a talent you would like to show off? We got that.  You want loads food, beautiful arts, and amazing crafts, we got that as well.  What, entertainment? We got that covered.  You want to see livestock, bone crushing rodeo, and good old American steel crumpling, we got that too.  We have beauty queens, carnival rides, and a flag waving parade.  Everything you would want in "Good Old County Fair" can be found here at the Wasatch County Fair.

Along the left side of this page you see various activities you can become involved with.  We encourage you to look things over and plan out what you would like to do at this year's fair.  We suggest you begin with the fair's schedule.  Here you will find a listing of what is happening, where it’s happening and when it’s happening.  You may be surprised about to learn about how many things happen before the rodeo/parade weekend.  An example is the Miss Wasatch Pageant that takes place a full two weeks before most fair activities even get started.  As you look over the schedule you will begin to realize just why television recorders were invented.  Recorders were invented because during fair days nobody has a chance to watch television.

There is one secret to enjoying this year's fair.  If you want to experience all the fair has to offer, get involved.  Fairs are not sideline sports.  For you to experience a "Good Old County Fair" you have to be on the inside looking out.  If you find yourself walking through the fair grounds amazed at how talented your neighbors are, with your tummy full of good food, your face sticky from lemonade and cotton candy, your balance a little off because of that last carnival ride, wiping the dust out of your eyes from an 8 second ride, and with your ears ringing from cars battling at the derby, then you my friend have experienced a "Good Old County Fair".

As always, the Wasatch County Fair is a family affair.  The fair has been planned with family in mind.  We encourage you to come and bring your children even if they have children of their own.  You can climb a wall with your daughter while the rest of family enjoys dinner at the Party in the Park, watch the outdoor movie under the stars, lying on a soft blanket with your family all huddled around, or watch your children laugh as your canine family member struts his stuff at this year's dog show.  These activities are just a small sampling of all that a family can do at this year's fair.  County fairs are full of wonderful opportunities to capture precious memories that will become more cherished as the years go by.

This site has all of the information and it is updated frequently.  Please check back often.  If you have any questions about the fair, please contact a member of the fair board.  Our goal is for you to have the best fair ever.

As Chris LeDoux sang, "Ain't nothin' I know of can make you fall in love like a night at the county fair".  Ain't it the truth.

Thanks for visiting our website and we hope to see you at the 2009 Wasatch County Fair!!
