Divisions

Senior – Ages 18-30 inclusive
Intermediate – Ages 13-17
Junior B - Ages 10-12

Junior A - Ages 7-9
Beginners – Up to and including 6 years of age

4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2009. NO LATE ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Wasatch County residents must pickup and return applications prior to the deadline, in order to be eligible; at the Wasatch County Parks and Recreation Office located at 90 North, 100 West, Heber City.

Beginner & Junior

Wasatch County South Field Park - Monday, July 27, 7:00 p.m.
100 South, 1200 West, Heber City
Pre-show entertainment at 6:30 p.m.

Intermediate & Senior

County Fairgrounds Stage – Thursday, July 30, 7:00 p.m.
600 South, 600 West, Heber City
Pre-show entertainment at 6:30 p.m.

 


Requirements
  1. Contest open to Wasatch County residents only.
  2. Participants must be amateurs. Individuals who charge a set fee for performing or sell recorded music are considered “professional” and ineligible to compete.
  3. You need to check in the night of your competition at 6:30 p.m. to pickup your contestant number. Please pin it on your costume where it can be seen by the judges.
  4. The contest is open to vocal solos, duets, trios, and quartets: instrumental solo’s or any combination of instruments; novelty acts, dance numbers, and reading or dramatic numbers.
  5. An accompanist is not considered a part of the act.
  6. All props must be approved by the director.
  7. All participants must be amateurs. A participant is defined as one to four performers. One accompanist will be allowed for each participant or participating group.
  8. There is a 2 ½ minute time limit on each number.

Judging

All judges are selected under the direction of the ‘Wasatch County Amateur Talent Find Contest". Decisions of the judges shall be final.

Scorecard for Judging

Scoring is based upon total points awarded for:

30% Entertainment Appeal (including audience reaction)
20% Presentation (appearance and poise)
50% Quality of Number and Artistic Development
